Our Approach

Creativity leads for us. It all starts with the art, the design while defending singularities and flipping things around. Sneakers immediately came to my mind as they remain one of the most popular footwear yet allowing uniqueness and creativity. They can be a statement.
In this urban collection, I wanted to convey affordable luxury and positivity. Like in art, the object is the medium of expression which reflects a specific viewpoint. Here the sole seems to "drip" up - as if in Zero Gravity. The gravity our world seems to desperately be living in. With Zero Gravity, I wanted to illustrate the notion of Hope.
The other important aspect was the savoir-faire. I want to create a dialogue between tradition and modernity. I was living in Lisbon when this idea came to and was immediately attracted by the shoes and sneakers tradition that exists in the Porto region. Tradition of leather, of products made by hand albeit assisted by machines. The hand and the human, are present at each step of the process, from the printing to the shaping of the shoe.
Finally it was crucial for us to be as eco-responsible as possible. Our production takes place in Portugal - from the soles to the final product. Our leather is a byproduct of the food industry, LGW certified and chrome-free. In the future, our objective is to use recycled material and unused quality stock. While we are a small start-up and need to take things step by step, we believe that quality and creativity are not hindered by being environmentally conscious.

Miguel - The Dreamer

Miguel is an alumni of the famous Duperré school in Paris. After additional studies at the St Martins school in London, he decided to go back to Paris where he taught at Fashion schools while working with Trend bureaus on new products, accessories and shoes' conception. This work ignited his love of shoes and opened the door to numerous collaborations with major brands such as Paco Rabanne, John Galliano, Vanessa Bruno, Rodolphe Menudier, Pierre Balmain... to name only a few.
His work also covers visual identity and illustration, notably in the Perfume world with houses such as L’Artisan Parfumeur, Lolita Lempicka, Penhaligon’s, Coudray,...
In 2018, he created the Days of Love edition, a chic fanzine that invites authors, photographs and artists and is, to the day, distributed at the Palais de Tokyo.
After few years in Portugal, Miguel is back in Paris where he currently works and resides.

Check-lister and left brain of 33MB Xuan

Xuan - The Check-lister

Miguel and Xuan met in London and have been friends since. She was an « early adopter » of his design and supported his project immediately.
After 10 years in advertising and 15 in the luxury goods industry, Xuan decided to reclaim her independence. In the middle of a "coffee-French fries" (her sweet spot) session, the decision of becoming partners to get this project up and running was made - the rest is history.
With her international business background, she is the left brain of 33MB. Their complementary skills set and shared values make their partnership even stronger and certainly richer!
